Youtubers I enjoy watching (at the moment)

I am a youtube junkie. There, I said it. Youtube videos are my favorite way to procrastinate, as well as a big source of my inspiration. Thus, I’ve put together a little list of my favorite people to watch at the moment (in no particular order)!

Casey Neistat
Vlogger, founder of an app called Beme, resident of Manhattan. I spent a good chunk of last year living in the city, so Casey’s vlogs are very nostalgic for me. The fact that his tame-lapses are amazing and that he gets to do fun stuff all the time don’t hurt either.

British family vloggers. Their content is comforting, and their cinematography is outstanding. If you wanna be in awe and have 30 minutes to kill, head for one of their vlogs.

Dodie is a british youtuber that plays the ukulele. She’s a songwriter, and she tends to put up fun little videos from time to time. I like her.

Rachel Aust
Rachel’s youtube channel consists of minimalism, minimalism, and more (or less?) minimalism. She makes videos on various topics, mainly fitness / health / food/beauty/lifestyle. Her videos are really calm so they’re super great if you’re trying to unwind and relax.

Emmy’s really fun! She gets foods from hundreds of different countries sent to her from her viewers, and she tastes things on camera. Her voice is really soothing and she’s great at explaining flavors. I always head for her videos in the morning.

Samika Vlogs
The Andersons are family vloggers and they’ve been my favorite for the longest time now. They have a cute two year old boy named Noah and are pregnant with a little girl named Penelope.

JoJo Lomelino
I couldn’t not include this channel. Jojo is a sassy little girl who always has something to say, and her dad is usually behind the camera asking her questions. She’s so stinkin’ adorable.

These are just a few faves! Let me know if you have any favorites that are worth a view or two! 🙂

Ideal Protein / Axodiet

Today I felt like having a little chit chat about my weight loss. This is by far the only type of diet that has worked for me, and I’m so pleased with my results.

Creative Potential

I’ve hit a wall where it seems like all creativity has ceased to exist. This is nothing new, it’s actually been a thing for a while now. Starting today, I am taking the initiative to change that.

The only way to make something of quality, is just to consistently create. Between this blog, and my youtube channel – I’m ready to start creating on a somewhat regular schedule. Come say hi on youtube if you’re into that sort of thing!

Yoga: Making time for yourself

Hi friends!

I officially have my computer back, and will now be working hard to get back to a regular posting schedule. Not having a computer for a week and a half, along with not much else to do, left me with a lot of free time. I’ve always wanted to get into yoga, but haven’t had much luck when it comes to classes. The classes I’ve attended were all either too intense or too fast-paced, so I knew I wanted to find something that would work better for me. I stumbled upon the most amazing yoga YouTube channel, and I thought I would share it with you guys!

The YouTube channel is called “Yoga with Adriene” and it has so many videos, that vary in both intensity and length. I’ve been sticking to the videos that are for absolute beginners, but there are quite a bit of videos for yoga aficionados as well! Adriene is very easy-going, positive, and relaxed – and this is something that has been pulling me back to her videos just about every day. Whether I can only afford to do 20 minutes in the morning, or if I can dedicate 40 minutes or even an hour – her videos have me covered.

If you’ve been tense, stressed, or even if you just want a few minutes of the day that you can dedicate to yourself – give the beginners video a shot. It might not be for you, but it also might be just the ritual that you’re missing from your busy (or not so busy in my case) day.

I will talk to you all very soon!

Easy Peasy Morning Skincare Routine

Hello friends!

I’m here with a skincare / beauty post for you today. Skincare has always been such a hassle for me, because I’ve suffered from eczema ever since I can remember. Although, as of recently, I have settled on a morning skincare routine that has been doing wonders for my face. My skin is a lot more clear, I don’t break out as much, and my eczema hasn’t flared up in ages. Here are some of my favorite products.

1. Clarisonic Mia 1

Okay, I know this is a gadget and not a product, but this little thing has changed my life. I know that sounds so dramatic but to be honest with you, I’ve never really known what clean skin feels like. The first time I used it I was like “oh my god, I’ve lived with dirt on my face for 22 years”. But dirt no more, as this thing vibrates and buzzes, and gets in your pores all while being super gentle. It is fairly pricy, but there’s a little bundle on the Sephora website for $99.

Side note: I am currently using the Clarisonic Gel Cleanser that comes in the Sephora bundle, and I am really enjoying it.

2. Clinique “All about eyes” eye cream

I love this whole ultra-hydrating range. Again, because of my eczema i need something that is very hydrating, but is also light enough to let my skin breathe. This is a win all around, and I have probably repurchased it three times already.

3. Origins GinZing Moisturizer

This is by far my favorite moisturizer, especially for the summer. It’s loaded with caffeine and it smells like oranges. I love that it’s hydrating but doesn’t leave my skin feeling tacky, and again, it’s hydrating but also very light. This is a holy grail summertime moisturizer in my book and I have been repurchasing it ever summer for the last three years!

And last but not least, I made a quick little video about how all of this goes down.

Till next time,
Positively Curvy
